Self Love

Show Yourself Some Love

By Bailee McDaniel

In this busy world we have here are some things that we have to remember to do for ourselves. Now this might seem very cliché, but let’s think about it for a minute. How often do you sacrifice a day off to earn extra money, or you are feeling sick but you have to get kids off to school, or the dog needs to be let out even though you can barely move away from the bathroom. We all do things that we have to do. Earning money in a money-based economy is a must. You must earn money to be able to have a place to live and food to eat and all the things we like and want to have.

Everything we do in a day is often because it’s necessary to continue living in our society, or keep up with the social necessities (keeping up with the Jones). So what can you do to keep yourself from running out of steam and rejuvenate?

There are a myriad of things that we can do. Paint, dance, read, write, go out exploring. So many things, yet we often forget to do it. This self-care is a way of showing if we love ourselves enough to put ourselves first sometimes. Sometimes it’s okay to go out with some friends and leave the kids with a babysitter. Have a fun evening out with friends, or even with your spouse. These little things all show our self-love. That might seem a bit silly, and you are probably thinking ‘I love myself plenty,’ and that may be true. But how often do you show yourself that love?

Showing yourself love helps keep us going. It shouldn’t feel like a competition, do you love yourself or your kids or significant other more. It should feel good, and happy. Guilt-free. Relaxing. When you find yourself struggling to have guilt-free self-love and self-care there might be a deeper cause.

This deeper cause could be a subconscious belief. Working through that subconscious belief is just another form of self-love and self-care. Why? Because you are allowing yourself to create a new believe that taking care of yourself is okay, and it is something that you should do. You’re kids, who watch you every day, will thank you for it. And you’ll thank yourself for changing it in the long run as well.

Now if you are finding yourself needing to change a subconscious belief, there are many different ways to go about it. Affirmations are always a good way, reading books about the subconscious mind is always another good way. Then you could also use programs like Master Kit. All of these will help you to change that belief so that you can show yourself love more easily. Master Kit is arguably a very successful tool.
